Green@Home Acterra is Looking for Volunteers

Help your neighbors (and yourself!) save energy this winter -- and let's grow the movement to reduce burning of fossil fuels!

Volunteers get training in some basic home energy saving skills and learn how to do a nine-point household energy audit.

Sign up for one of the upcoming two-part sessions:

Thurs., Oct. 16, 6:15 - 9:45 pm
Thurs., Oct. 30, 6:15 - 9:45 pm

Sat., Oct. 18, 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
Sat., Oct. 25, 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
The sessions above held at Acterra, 3921 E. Bayshore Road, Palo Alto.

Tues., Oct. 21, 6:30 - 9:30 pm
Tues., Oct. 28, 6:30 - 9:30 pm
The session above held in Redwood City – call for location.

After your training, Acterra schedules pairs of volunteers to do HouseCalls at times convenient for you and the residents.
Volunteers are also welcome to help with scheduling HouseCalls, organizing tool kits, data entry, and publicity.

Webinar offered to assess if a house is suitable for solar electricity.
Volunteers (and other residents) can also learn how to decide whether installing a PV system works for a specific house.  Dates for the one-hour phone-and-computer session are Nov. 8 and Nov. 11.  Contact Liz Muir at lizm@acterra for more info.

Green@Home is now offering HouseCalls in Palo Alto, Menlo Park, and Redwood City.  Contact us if you'd like a volunteer team to visit your home!
