ISLAM AND MOHAMMAD

ISLAM AND MOHAMMAD-PART 18

After two decades of oppression from his own people of Mecca, Holy Prophet of Islam (May peace and blessings of God be on him) entered Mecca as a triumphant leader.  He was thankful to God that head was bowed in prayers and touched his camel.  He was praying to God with his praises thanking him for the peaceful march in the city.  This is also stated in the Holy Quran, the Holy Book of Muslims) and the translation of the verses are,” Surely has God in truth fulfilled for His Messenger the Vision.  You will certainly enter the Sacred Mosque if God will, in security, some having their haircuts short; and you will have no fear.  But He knew what you know not.  He has in fact ordained for you, besides that, a victory near at hand. (48; 28)

The migration of the Holy Prophet and honorable re-entry to Mecca was told by God to Holy Prophet in another verse of Holy Quran also.  The translation of the verse is,” And say, O my Lord, make my entry a good entry, and then make my come forth and good forthcoming.  And grant me from Thyself a helping power. (17:18)

It was Monday when the Prophet of Islam entered Mecca with triumphant and victory.  It was again Monday when the Holy Prophet and his companion Abu Bakr left the cave of Thaur for their journey to Medina.

After arriving in Mecca, Mohammad Prophet went straight to Kaaba.  He mounted on the camel and circled the Kaaba seven times.  This house of worship was built by Abraham and his son Ishmael for the worship of One and Only God.  Now it was full of idols.  He removed and destroyed all the three hundred and sixty five idols and fulfilled once again the prayers of Abraham.  Which is,” My Lord, make this city a city of peace, and keep me and my children away from worshipping idols. (14:36) after cleaning Kaaba from idols, the Prophet offered prayers in the Kaaba.  Now the Kaaba was once again restored for worshipping God the One and Only God. This was the memorable day and full of signs of God.  The Book (Halbiyya, Vol, 3p.-99) states that,” Promises made by God to the Prophet, at a time when their fulfillment seemed impossible, had been fulfilled at last.  The Prophet was the centre of devotion and faith. In and through his person, God manifested Himself, and shown His face, as it were, again.”

After that Holy Prophet then sent someone to get the water of ZAMZAM.  (A well which Muslims believe that at the time of the birth of Ishmael son of Abraham, the cried for water, as their was no water to be found in the Desert, as the baby’s foot would touch the ground while crying, God opened an earth and water started sprinkling from the ground. This Well is still working and Muslim goes to the Pilgrimage to Mecca; bring water for the friends and family.  Muslims believe that this is one of the signs of God; this well is called “ZAMZAM”.
