On January 20th at 7:30pm a powerful film, Gila River and Mama: The Ruth Mix Story, will be shown at First Methodist Church in Palo Alto (click here for more information). The story of Japanese internment has been told from many perspectives, but this film offers a rare glimpse into how it was experienced by a caucasian girl and her mother, who volunteered to work at the camp. Executive Producer Charlie Class (who many will know from 30 years of local film-making) and Claire Mix will present the film and lead a discussion after the viewing. Don't miss this incredible opportunity!
