Imagine seeing a flyer in church one Sunday inviting you to a special concert by an African boys choir. Proceeds from the concert go to the boys' village to help build new schools. You go to the concert, pay $20 for your ticket and donate another $100 after you hear their incredibly beautiful voices. You go home feeling good from the wonderful music and knowing that you've helped poor people in Africa get a new school. Or did you?

Co-op America is once again teaming up with our allies at Global Exchange to support reverse trick-or-treating, the new Halloween tradition of children handing Fair Trade chocolate back to their neighbors. The candy is attached to a card that includes information about social and environmental justice issues in the cocoa industry and how Fair Trade chocolate helps farmers across the world in cocoa growing communities...

The folks at the Rebuilding Alliance are looking for individuals or organizations that would host (provide venue, promote, and be hosts at) fundraisers for their speaking tour to save a Kindergarten and help a Palestinian village thrive. They'll have speakers (the head of the Al Aqabah Village Council and the Director of the Kindergarten) available in the Bay area from October 7-17...
